Classes are held at the Creative Arts Studio in Boerum Hill (www.creativeartsstudio.com) on 310 Atlantic Avenue.
After-school programs are available at: 1) Brooklyn Heights Montessori School; 2) Berkeley Carroll School (Park Slope);
3) Open House Nursery School (Cobble Hill); 4) PS 8 (Brooklyn Heights).
Info & Policies
1. The winter/spring semester at the Creative Arts Studio (CAS) begins on February 4 , 2012. Start dates for after-school classes vary from school to school. Please send email for registration details.
2. The fee for a 15-week semester at CAS is $450 plus a $30 Registration/Materials fee. Early registration of 20% (due by 12/17) and 10% (due by 1/14/12) and sibling discounts (20%) are available. All payments are due prior to the first class unless other arrangements have been made (a flexible payment plan is available if needed).
3. Our kids classes are designed to be small, intimate, age-appropriate and most of all, fun (see Programs page for class descriptions). Our goal is to help students make steady and consistent progress. Babies and toddlers will have the opportunity to work on their language, musical, motor, creativity and social skills in an immersive environment that is both supportive and instructive. Older kids work on developing their conversational, writing and artistic skills.
4. Practice Work for Home
Songbooks and word sheets will be provided for our babies and toddler classes. Older kids are given workbooks, writing books and materials for brush painting, calligraphy and other cultural activities. All students will also have access to audio recordings on our website.
5. Child’s Progress
We will inform you as to your child’s progress throughout the session (for Little Dragons classes). You can talk with us anytime to discuss your child’s particular needs.
6. Class Placement
If you have questions regarding the appropriate class for your child, please contact us. At the end of each semester, you can speak to the teacher to determine your child’s placement for the following semester. You can also request for your child to be placed in the same class with a friend.
7. Makeup Policy
You can makeup missed classes within the same semester based on class availability. Carryovers are possible under special circumstances.
8. Refund Policy
Our refund policy is as follows. 50% refund (minus registration fee) prior to the start of the first class; No refund thereafter. back to top |
